The ASUS Cobble is a new M.2 drive enclosure that accepts NVMe and SATA modules in 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. A USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x1 interface delivers up to 10Gbps transfer rates for Windows 11, macOS, PS5 and Xbox consoles. Tool-free Q-Latch and a screwless cover make installation take seconds.

Capacity and headroom

The enclosure supports drives up to 4TB, giving ample space for game libraries, media projects or full system backups. USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x1 bandwidth caps sustained throughput around 10Gbps, so the fastest NVMe SSDs will hit the interface ceiling before the drive does. SATA modules run at their native limit well within the available headroom.
