Eight 2.5-inch hot-plug bays and a Perc H730 RAID controller with 1 GB cache support SAS or SATA drives in RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60. SAS 12 Gbps controller limits drive speed

The H730 controller operates at 12 Gbps while the three included 300 GB drives run at 6 Gbps 15 K rpm, so the array will not saturate the controller. Twelve DIMM slots allow up to 384 GB total, but the installed processor caps memory speed at 2400 MT/s. Only two PCIe 3.0 slots are available for expansion cards.
