The Netgear GS316P-100NAS is a 16-port unmanaged switch delivering Gigabit speeds over twisted-pair copper. It targets small offices and home networks that need to power wireless access points, IP cameras or VoIP phones without a separate power supply. Fanless construction keeps the unit silent in noise-sensitive rooms.

115 W total PoE+ budget

All sixteen RJ45 ports support IEEE 802.3at PoE+ at up to 30 W each, sharing a 115 W power budget that auto-balances per-port allocation based on device demand. The 54 V, 2.4 A DC input (130 W power adapter) feeds both switching and PoE loads. Uninterrupted PoE keeps endpoints powered during firmware updates or software reboots.

Desktop, wall or rack mounting included

The box supplies all hardware for desktop placement, wall mounting or rack installation, so the switch fits whatever space is available. LEDs show speed, link activity, PoE status, power and PoE-max conditions at a glance. Jumbo frames up to 9216 bytes, 1 MB buffer memory and a 4K MAC table handle bursty traffic without configuration.
