Passive cooling spreads heat across the entire aluminium housing, so the 6th-generation Core i5 maintains its 2.0 GHz base clock without throttling during long shifts. The 8 GB DDR3L memory and 128 GB mSATA SSD have no moving parts, eliminating mechanical wear in high-vibration settings. Intel Iris Graphics 540 drives the 1280 × 1024 panel and an external display over HDMI or VGA without adding thermal load. The watchdog timer can restart the system automatically after a power loss.

The 17-inch screen uses high-temperature five-wire resistive technology rated for 200 million touches and 86 % transmittance at 550 nm.
