The 10Gtek 82576-2T-X1 is a dual-port Gigabit Ethernet network card built around the Intel 82576 controller. It targets servers and workstations that need two copper connections on a single PCI Express 2.0 x1 slot. Compatible operating systems include Windows Server 2003 through 2019, Windows XP through 10, Linux distributions, and VMware ESXi 5 and 6.

Low-profile bracket included

Installation uses a standard or low-profile bracket, both supplied, allowing the card to fit in small-form-factor cases or standard servers. The PCIe 2.0 x1 interface limits bandwidth to 2.5 GT/s, so the two ports share a single lane. Drivers are included on media and are also available from the Intel website; hot-swap capability is not supported.

Two RJ45 ports up to 100m

Each RJ45 port handles 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps over Category 5 or better cabling at distances up to 100 metres. Jumbo frames up to 9.5 KB are supported for improved throughput on large transfers. The single PCIe x1 lane becomes the bottleneck when both ports run at full line rate simultaneously. VMware ESXi 7.0 and newer are not supported.
