This A-Tech module delivers 128GB of DDR4 2666 registered ECC memory in a single 288-pin DIMM. It is built for servers and workstations that require registered DIMMs with error correction. The octal-rank 3DS design fits maximum capacity into one slot. Desktop and laptop systems cannot use this module.

Upgrade from lower-capacity RDIMMs

Replacing smaller registered DIMMs with this 128GB module reduces the number of occupied slots while keeping ECC and registered signalling. The jump is worthwhile when the platform supports 3DS octal-rank modules and the workload demands more memory per channel than dual-rank sticks can provide.
