This 240-pin DDR3 module is built for Dell OptiPlex 9020, 9010, 7020, 7010, 3020, 3010 and XE2 systems in USFF, SFF, MT and DT chassis. It adds 8GB of memory to desktops running compatible Intel 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation Core i3, i5, i7, Pentium or Celeron processors. The single unbuffered non-ECC stick installs without tools or specialist knowledge.

Speed and latency that determine compatibility

The module runs at DDR3 1600 MHz with a PC3-12800 rating and a CAS latency of CL11. It is organised as a dual-rank 2Rx8 configuration using major-brand chips. Voltage is set to the JEDEC standard 1.5 V for DDR3 or 1.35 V for DDR3L operation. Systems that require ECC, registered buffers or a different pin count will not accept this part.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

Without a heat spreader the DIMM relies on case airflow and operates at standard JEDEC voltages, so power draw stays low during typical workloads. The memory produces no audible noise because it has no moving parts. Temperatures remain within normal DDR3 limits when the chassis ventilation is adequate. Builders needing ECC error correction or registered modules must choose a different product.
