Alphacool Subzero is a high-performance thermal compound rated at 16 W/mK thermal conductivity and supplied in a 3.5 g syringe. Practical limits of the paste interface

Thermal paste can only fill microscopic gaps between the CPU heat spreader and the cooler base; it cannot compensate for poor mounting pressure, warped surfaces or an undersized cooler.
