Will this processor fit my current AM4 motherboard without a BIOS update?

The CPU uses the AM4 socket, so it fits any motherboard with that socket. Some older AM4 boards need a BIOS update before they will recognise a 3rd-generation Ryzen chip.

What memory speed does the processor officially support and can I run faster kits?

The specification lists DDR4 3200 as the supported memory type. Faster kits usually work through motherboard XMP or DOCP profiles, but 3200 is the guaranteed base speed.

Does the retail package include a cooler or do I need to buy one separately?
