The APC SRT3000XLA is a 3000 VA double-conversion on-line UPS delivering 2700 watts of continuous power from a 120 volt input. Nine battery-backed outlets include one NEMA L5-30R and eight NEMA 5-20R receptacles for dense rack or tower deployments. It suits network closets, server rooms and edge sites that cannot tolerate any transfer time during utility failure.

Replaces line-interactive units

Stepping up from a line-interactive design removes the brief switchover gap and adds automatic voltage regulation across a 40 to 70 hertz input range without draining the battery. The jump is worth it when connected loads include sensitive hypervisors, storage arrays or VoIP gear that crash on millisecond interruptions. It is not for buyers who only need basic surge filtering and can accept a short break before battery engagement.

Runtime scales with load

Sealed lead-acid cells provide one to thirty minutes of backup depending on the connected wattage, and recharge in about three hours. The replaceable cartridge uses part number APCRBC152 for tool-less swaps without powering down. At full 2700 watt load the reserve is minimal, so plan external battery packs for extended autonomy. It is not for sites that require hours of runtime without generator support.
