Z840 ECC registered memory kit

This 32 GB kit contains two 16 GB DDR4 2133 MHz ECC registered DIMMs built for the HP Z840 workstation. Registered buffering and error correction protect data integrity in server workloads. The modules run at 1.2 V with CL15 timing and a 2Rx4 rank layout.

Check CPU memory speed and slot plan

The Z840 clocks memory to the installed processor's maximum supported rate; an 1866 MHz capable CPU will limit these modules to 1866 MHz. For single-DIMM-per-channel population the white slots must be filled first. Verify the processor model and current DIMM count before ordering.

Upgrades non-ECC or lower-capacity RDIMMs

Replaces unbuffered non-ECC modules or smaller registered DIMMs when the workload demands error correction and higher density.
