Asus VivoBook DDR4 upgrade

This 8 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM module is built for Asus VivoBook 15 F512DA, 17 X705UF, A412DA, S14 S410UA and S14 S410UN laptops. It runs at 2400 MHz with CL17 timing at 1.2 V. The unbuffered, non-ECC design uses a 2Rx8 rank configuration on major-brand chips.

8 GB single-stick capacity

One module provides 8 GB of memory; the platform supports up to 32 GB across two sockets. Adding a second matched stick enables dual-channel bandwidth for heavier multitasking. A 64-bit operating system is required to address more than 4 GB. Mixing brands is possible but all modules will run at the slowest installed speed.

Low-voltage thermal profile

Operating at 1.2 V keeps power draw modest and heat output low in the thin VivoBook chassis. No heat spreader is fitted, relying on the laptop's internal airflow. The module produces no audible noise. Power consumption scales with load but remains within the standard DDR4 SO-DIMM envelope.
