The Crucial BX500 CT480BX500SSD1 is a 480 GB internal solid-state drive built on Micron 3D NAND. It uses a SATA III interface and a 2.5 inch form factor with a height of 7.00 mm. Sequential reads reach up to 540 MBps and writes up to 500 MBps. The drive has no DRAM cache and is rated for 1.5 M hours MTTF.

Before ordering, confirm the motherboard or laptop provides an available SATA III connector and a 2.5 inch drive bay or caddy that accepts a 7.00 mm tall drive. The drive draws an average of 60 mW active power with peaks of 3000 mW during read or write, so the SATA power cable must supply that current. Operating temperature range is 0 °C to 70 °C.

No extra cables or software are included

The package contains only the bare drive. No SATA data cable, power adapter, mounting bracket or cloning software is bundled, so you must source those separately if the system lacks them.
