PowerEdge T430 5U dual-Xeon server

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a 5U rack-mount server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors, each running at 2.1 GHz with 16 cores. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory installed across four slots. The platform targets small-office and remote-office workloads such as file, print, mail and web serving where single-server capacity and redundancy matter.

Verify rack space and drive plan

Before ordering, confirm that your rack can accommodate a 5U chassis and that you have a strategy for populating the eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA trays, as no drives are included. The motherboard provides twelve DDR4 slots with a 384 GB ceiling, so future memory expansion is possible. Dual 750 W platinum hot-swap power supplies are fitted, and the LGA 2011-3 sockets support a maximum of two processors.

PERC H730 controller and iDRAC 8 Express

The bundled PERC H730 storage controller brings 1 GB cache with battery backup and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Integrated Broadcom 5720 dual-port 1 GbE networking handles baseline connectivity. iDRAC 8 Express provides out-of-band remote management for monitoring and maintenance without an operating system. A front bezel is included; plastic feet are not.
