Business-ready SFF desktop

The Dell OptiPlex 7060 is a small-form-factor business desktop equipped with an Intel Core i7-8700 hexa-core processor running up to 4.60 GHz. It includes 16 GB of DDR4 memory, a 2.5-inch 1 TB solid-state drive and Windows 10 Pro pre-installed. A USB wireless dongle provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, while integrated Intel UHD Graphics drives up to two DisplayPort monitors. A DVD-ROM drive, USB keyboard and USB mouse are also supplied.

Upgrade from older office PCs

This system replaces ageing towers that rely on mechanical hard drives and dual-core processors. The jump is worthwhile when daily workloads involve multiple browser tabs, large spreadsheets or video conferencing, because the six-core CPU and solid-state storage cut boot and application launch times dramatically. Buyers who need discrete graphics for CAD or rendering, or who require more than two PCIe expansion slots, should look elsewhere.

Fits standard SFF infrastructure

The chassis uses a 240-pin DIMM form factor for memory and offers two PCIe card slots for add-in cards such as additional network adapters. Front and rear ports include USB 2.0, USB 3.1 Gen 1, USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C, audio jacks, a serial port option and an SD card reader option. The included USB dongle frees internal M.2 or PCIe slots that would otherwise be occupied by a wireless card.
