Hot-plug bays and redundant power

Eight 2.5-inch hot-plug drive bays sit behind the front panel, each populated with a 300 GB 15 K SAS drive on a tray. The Dell PERC H330 12 Gbps RAID controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60. A single 550 W redundant hot-swap power supply keeps the chassis running if one module fails.

Memory ceiling and PCIe 3.0 limit

The board offers 12 DIMM slots but the installed processor caps usable memory at 384 GB, so the 8 GB shipped is far below the platform maximum. Only two PCIe 3.0 slots are available, restricting add-in cards such as extra network adapters or GPU accelerators. Four 1 GbE ports handle baseline connectivity without consuming a slot.
