The Dell PowerEdge R530 is a 2U rack server built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2603 V3 six-core processor running at 1.6GHz. It ships with 24GB of DDR4 memory across twelve DIMM slots and includes a Dell PERC H730 RAID controller. Hot-plug drive bays and redundant power

Eight 3.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives and connect to the H730 controller, which supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection. Two 750W hot-swap power supplies provide N+1 redundancy so a supply can be replaced without downtime. The 2U form factor allows front-to-rear airflow across the processor, memory and drive cage, keeping thermals stable under typical loads. Redundant fans adjust speed based on inlet temperature, so acoustic output stays low in office-adjacent rack rows. Dual 750W supplies share the load, reducing per-unit stress and improving overall power efficiency during continuous operation.
