Ready for dense compute

This 1U rack server fits ten hot-plug 2.5-inch drive bays into a single rack unit. A single Intel Xeon E5-2609 v3 six-core processor running at 1.9 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 memory provide a baseline for virtualisation hosts, database nodes or high-density web tiers. Redundant 750 W power supplies keep the platform running through a module failure.

Storage controller and drives

The H330 12 Gbps RAID controller manages the two included 1 TB 7.2K RPM enterprise SATA drives and supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50 and 60 across all ten bays. The controller occupies a dedicated PERC slot, leaving up to three PCIe 3.0 slots free for additional networking or acceleration cards. No operating system is installed, so you supply the hypervisor or OS of your choice.

Rack and power checks

Verify that your rack can accept a 1U chassis measuring 26.8 inches deep, 17.44 inches wide and 3.4 inches high and that it can support the 58 lb unit weight. Confirm the facility provides two independent power circuits for the redundant supplies. The four-port 1 GbE daughter card is standard; 10 GbE networking requires an optional NDC upgrade. Memory expansion uses DDR4 DIMMs only, up to 24 slots across two processors.
