Tool-less drive carriers and rail mounting

Ten 2.5-inch hot-plug bays accept SAS or SATA drives without trays supplied. The H730 controller with 1 GB cache manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60. Dual 750 W hot-swap supplies install from the rear; forgetting to seat both units leaves the system without redundancy.

PCIe 3.0 expansion and 1 GbE baseline

Three PCIe 3.0 slots plus a dedicated PERC slot provide room for additional controllers or networking cards. The standard daughter card delivers four 1 GbE ports; 10 GbE requires an optional NDC upgrade. Maximum memory per processor is 12 DIMM slots, with total capacity limited by the installed CPU.
