It ships with 64 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across four modules. The platform targets midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, VDI, databases or HPC data nodes. Buyers who need more than 1.5 TB of memory or more than two sockets should consider a larger chassis.

PERC H730 RAID with eight 2.5-inch bays

Storage is handled by a Dell PERC H730 1 GB controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through at 12 Gb/s SAS/SATA speeds. The front panel provides eight 2.5-inch hot-swap trays; no drives are included. Network connectivity comes from an Intel X520/I350 daughter card delivering two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports.
