The PowerEdge R730 is a 2U rack system equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2683 v4 processors running at 2.1 GHz, each providing 16 cores. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 24 slots and a PERC H730 controller managing eight 2.4 TB SAS hard drives. Dual 750 W platinum power supplies and iDRAC8 Enterprise remote management are included.

This configuration fits midsize and large enterprises running data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure or high-performance computing data nodes. 24 DDR4 slots and 12 Gb/s SAS controller define

The server provides 24 DIMM slots supporting up to 1.5 TB of DDR4 memory and a PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache operating at 12 Gb/s for SAS and SATA drives. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are supported along with pass-through mode. Network connectivity includes two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports via an Intel X520/I350 daughter card.
