2U Rack Server for Enterprise Workloads

This Dell PowerEdge R730xd is a 2U rack server built for midsize and large enterprise environments. It handles demanding workloads such as data warehouses, e-commerce platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure, databases and high-performance computing data nodes. The system ships new with dual processors, memory, storage controller, networking and redundant power supplies installed.

Dual 14-Core Xeon E5-2680 v4 Processors

Two Intel Xeon E5-2680 v4 processors run at 2.4 GHz with a 3.3 GHz turbo frequency, delivering 28 cores total. The LGA 2011-3 socket platform uses the Intel C610 chipset and supports a maximum of two processors, which are already populated. This CPU configuration determines the compute capacity available for virtualization, database or HPC tasks.

64GB DDR4 ECC Memory in 24 Slots

The server includes 64 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across four 16 GB modules, leaving 20 of the 24 DIMM slots free for expansion up to 1.5 TB. Twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA drive trays are fitted without drives, and the PERC H730 controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.
