This 2U rack server ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v3 processors running at 2.6 GHz with ten cores each. It includes 128 GB of DDR4 registered ECC memory across 24 slots and a PERC H730 storage controller with 1 GB cache. The chassis provides 24 drive bays for 2.5-inch SATA or SAS devices.

SATA SSD throughput and 12 Gb/s controller

The installed 800 GB SATA SSDs operate at the 6 Gb/s SATA interface limit, so sequential throughput will not exceed that link speed. The PERC H730 controller supports 12 Gb/s SAS and SATA signalling, but the drives themselves set the practical ceiling. RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 are available, along with pass-through mode.

1.5 TB maximum memory capacity

The platform supports up to 1.5 TB of DDR4 when all 24 slots are populated with supported modules. Buyers who need more than 128 GB must source additional registered ECC DIMMs separately. The two processors and dual 750 W power supplies are already at the maximum supported counts.
