A single Xeon E5-2609 v3 six-core processor at 1.9 GHz and 48 GB of DDR4 handle file serving and light virtualization workloads.

Dual 750 W redundant supplies

Two hot-swap 750 W power modules share the load so a single failure does not shut the system down, and the H730 RAID controller with 1 GB cache offloads parity calculations from the CPU. The DVD-ROM drive adds negligible draw, while iDRAC8 remote management lets administrators monitor thermals and power without a local console.

H730 controller and iDRAC8

The Perc H730 supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across the three installed 1 TB enterprise SATA drives and any additional SAS or SATA disks. iDRAC8 Express provides out-of-band hardware control, firmware updates and virtual console access, with Enterprise licences and vFlash media available as upgrades.
