That yields 64 cores in a 3U rack footprint, suited for organisations running virtualisation hosts, in-memory databases or high-throughput transactional workloads where core density per rack unit matters.

Redundant 1600 W platinum supplies

Two 1600 watt platinum-efficiency power supplies operate in redundant mode, so a single unit failure does not interrupt service. Hot-swap capability lets technicians replace a supply without powering down the chassis, while the power architecture is designed to feed all four sockets, 768 GB of DDR4-2666 registered ECC memory and the storage controller under sustained load.

48 DIMM slots, 8 drive trays

The system board provides 48 DDR4 slots, with 24 populated by 32 GB modules today and headroom to reach 6 TB. Eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA trays are cabled to a PERC H730P controller with 2 GB cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, 60 and pass-through. A daughter card adds two 1 GbE and two 10 Gb SFP+ ports, and iDRAC9 Enterprise gives dedicated out-of-band management. Ready Rails and a front bezel are included for immediate rack installation.
