The DELL PowerEdge T430 is a 5U tower server equipped with two Intel Xeon E5-2650 v4 processors, each running at 2.2 GHz with 12 cores and a 2.9 GHz turbo frequency. It ships with 128 GB of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory across eight 16 GB modules. The system targets small offices and remote branch locations needing single-server capacity for collaboration, mail, file, print and web workloads.

Hot-swap bays and redundant platinum power

Eight front-accessible 3.5-inch trays accept SAS or SATA drives and connect to a Dell PERC H730 1 GB controller supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through mode. Two 750 W platinum-efficiency hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy. Integrated Broadcom 5720 dual-port 1 GbE LAN and iDRAC 8 Express remote management handle network and out-of-band administration. A front bezel is included; plastic feet are not.

Verify rack depth and drive selection before

The 5U form factor requires a rack or cabinet deep enough for a full-length tower chassis; confirm available depth and weight capacity on your side. No drives are installed, so you must supply compatible 3.5-inch SAS or SATA disks. Memory can be expanded to 384 GB across 12 slots if the workload demands more than the factory 128 GB. Ensure your operating environment supports the LGA 2011-3 platform and C610 chipset.
