PowerEdge T430 tower server for office workloads

The Dell PowerEdge T430 is a tower server built for small-office and remote-office workloads such as file and print serving, mail, messaging and web hosting. It ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processors, each running at 2.0 GHz with 14 cores and a 3.2 GHz turbo frequency. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 2400 MHz registered ECC memory are installed across two slots.

Dual 750 W hot-swap power supplies

Redundant hot-swap 750 watt platinum power supplies keep the system running if one unit fails. Eight 3.5-inch SAS/SATA trays are fitted at the front, ready for hard drives that are not included. A Dell PERC H730 controller with 1 GB cache provides RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 plus pass-through. Integrated Broadcom 5720 dual-port 1 GbE and iDRAC8 Express handle network and remote management.

Twelve memory slots and two-socket limit define

The Intel C610 chipset supports up to 384 GB of DDR4 across twelve slots, so memory can grow well beyond the 16 GB installed. Only two processors are supported and both sockets are already populated, so no further CPU upgrades are possible. Buyers who need more storage bays or additional CPU sockets will need a different platform.
