Precision T7910 Xeon workstation

The Dell Precision T7910 is a tower workstation built around a single Intel Xeon E5-2660 v4 processor with 14 cores and 28 threads via Hyperthreading. It ships with 8GB of DDR4 ECC memory, a 250GB SATA solid-state drive and an Nvidia NVS 310 graphics card offering dual DisplayPort outputs. The 1300W power supply delivers 90% efficiency with active power factor correction.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that your intended operating system supports the Intel C612 chipset and the LGA 2011-3 socket platform. The included NVS 310 uses DisplayPort connectors, so confirm your monitors have compatible inputs or plan for adapters. Memory expansion requires DDR4 ECC RDIMMs or LRDIMMs; the system will not accept standard consumer DDR4 modules. No operating system is included, so a licence and installation media must be sourced separately.

Build integration and expansion

The chassis provides four 3.5-inch SATA bays, eight 2.5-inch SATA/SAS bays and four M.2 PCIe slots, with the integrated LSI SAS 3008 controller supporting software RAID 0, 1 and 10 across up to eight drives. A second processor can be added to enable quad-channel memory up to 2400MHz and access to all 16 DIMM slots for a maximum of 1TB RAM. The 1300W unit supplies ample headroom for additional storage controllers, high-end graphics cards or dual-CPU configurations.
