This EN-Labs enclosure connects M.2 SSDs to a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port at 10 Gbps. It accepts both NVMe and SATA protocol drives in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 lengths. The RTL9210B controller enables UASP and TRIM for sustained performance. It suits users wanting fast external storage from a spare internal drive.

Before you order

Verify your M.2 drive uses an M-key or B+M-key connector; B-key-only SSDs will not fit. The enclosure does not support PCIe AHCI SSDs, mSATA drives, Wi-Fi cards or MacBook proprietary modules. Your host must provide a USB-C or USB-A port; both cable types are included. Drives up to 4 TB are supported per the specification.

Thermals noise and power

The aluminium alloy shell acts as a passive heatsink with no fan, so operation is silent. Power is drawn entirely from the USB bus — no external adapter is required. Under normal transfer loads the enclosure stays cool to the touch thanks to the metal construction and slim design.
