It is intended for builders expanding peripheral support on an existing platform.

Build Integration

The card occupies a single PCI Express x1 slot and draws power directly from the bus, so no external power cable is required. Each port can deliver up to 5 V at 1 A for connected devices, with independent over-current and short-circuit protection. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 peripherals. The package includes a driver CD, mounting screws, and a user manual for setup.

Sustained Operation

The onboard FRE100 host controller manages a total bandwidth of up to 5.0 Gbps shared across all five ports. Actual throughput depends on the connected device and system configuration. The design includes multiple power modules to maintain stable current delivery during continuous data transfers. The card does not support Power Delivery fast charging, video output, or Thunderbolt protocols.
