High-Airflow Mid Tower for E-ATX Builds

The Fractal Design Torrent FD-C-TOR1A-01 is a black steel chassis with tempered glass panels that accepts E-ATX, ATX, mATX, ITX, SSI-EEB and SSI-CEB motherboards. It ships with five PWM fans installed, including two 180 mm Dynamic GP-18 units at the front and three 140 mm Dynamic GP-14 units at the bottom, giving high-volume airflow without added RGB lighting.

Tool-Free Glass and Top-Mounted PSU

Both side panels use bolt-free top-latching mechanisms so the glass lifts off without tools. The power supply mounts at the top of the case, which keeps cables clear of the bottom intake fans but requires routing the main ATX lead across the motherboard tray. Front and bottom dust filters slide out for cleaning, and the front panel provides two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port and two audio jacks.

Sustained Cooling with 180 mm and 140 mm Fans

The 180 x 38 mm front fans move large air volumes at low RPM, while the three 140 mm bottom fans feed the GPU directly, keeping temperatures stable during long rendering or compute sessions.
