Single-socket Xeon W workstation board

The MW83-RP0 fits one Intel Xeon W-3500, W-3400, W-2500 or W-2400 processor in an LGA 4677 socket with a thermal design power up to 385 W. It targets engineers, data scientists and media professionals who need high core counts and large memory capacity in a single-processor platform. Builders using W-2500 or W-2400 CPUs must supply a separate carrier.

Eight-channel DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 expansion

Eight 288-pin DDR5 slots run at 4800 MT/s in a 1 DPC configuration and drop to 4400 MT/s when fully populated, supporting up to 2 TB of registered memory. Five PCIe 5.0 x16 slots connect directly to the CPU, delivering up to 112 lanes for GPUs, accelerators or CXL devices, while two M.2 2280 slots operate at PCIe 4.0 x4 from the chipset.

Dual 10 Gbps LAN and eight SATA ports

An Intel X710-AT2 controller provides two 10 Gbps Ethernet ports for fast network storage or cluster links. Two SlimSAS connectors break out to eight SATA 6 Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support, and the ASPEED AST2600 BMC handles remote management. Systems needing more than eight SATA drives or a second CPU socket must choose a different platform.
