The HP OmniBook 5 runs on the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 processor with eight cores up to 3.4 GHz and a 45 TOPS NPU. Sixteen gigabytes of LPDDR5x memory are soldered to the board. A 1 TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe M.2 2242 SSD holds the operating system and files. Windows 11 Home 64-bit ships pre-installed. Buyers who need user-replaceable memory or a second storage drive should look elsewhere.

16 inch 2K OLED touchscreen and ports

The 16.0 inch display shows 1920 x 1200 resolution on an OLED panel with .2 ms response time and 300 nits brightness. Touch input and a micro-edge design are included. Heavy, continuous GPU compute will throttle sooner than designs with discrete cooling.
