This 1U rack server ships with dual Xeon E5-2603 v3 processors at 1.6 GHz and 16 GB of DDR4 memory. The eight-bay small-form-factor chassis holds two installed 1 TB SATA drives and is managed by a B140i software RAID controller. Redundant hot-swap power supplies are included.

Upgrade from single-socket or lower-core systems

The jump is worthwhile when workloads benefit from twelve total cores and up to 36 cores supported by the C610 chipset. Memory capacity reaches 1 TB across sixteen DIMM slots using DDR4 modules up to 2400 MT/s ECC registered. The B140i controller handles RAID 0, 1, 5 for SATA drives only.

Sustained load behaviour
