This 1U rackmount server system ships new with a single Intel Xeon E5-2603 v3 six-core processor running at 1.6GHz and 16GB of DDR4 memory. The chassis includes redundant hot-swap power supplies and an HP Smart HBA H240 controller managing two 146GB 15K SAS drives. Eight small-form-factor bays provide internal storage expansion room.

Suits workloads needing balanced compute

The single-socket configuration delivers six cores for general-purpose tasks, virtualization hosts, or file and print services where dual-processor throughput is not required. Buyers who need more than the installed 16GB of memory or who require support for more than two processors should evaluate larger platforms. The Matrox G200 graphics subsystem is intended for management console output only.

Maximum installed memory is 16GB in this

Although the platform architecture supports up to 1TB across 16 DIMM slots when both processor sockets are populated, the unit as supplied is limited to the 16GB already installed. The H240 controller provides RAID 0, 1, and 5 across SAS and SATA drives at 12Gb/s and 6Gb/s respectively. A 550W power supply powers the configuration.
