The HP ProLiant DL360 G9 is a 1U rack server built for dense compute environments. Dual Intel Xeon E5-2643v3 six-core processors running at 3.4 GHz provide 24 threads for virtualisation and database workloads. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory are installed across 24 DIMM slots, with support for up to 3 TB total capacity. Two 4 TB 7.2K SAS drives connect through the Smart HBA H240ar controller offering RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.

Redundant 500 W power supplies and thermal design

Two hot-swap 500 W redundant power supplies maintain uptime during a single unit failure. The 1U chassis uses managed airflow to cool both CPUs, memory and drive bays under typical loads. Fan speeds adjust dynamically based on inlet temperature and component utilisation. Power draw scales with processor activity and the number of populated drive bays.

Smart HBA H240ar controller

The onboard Smart HBA H240ar delivers 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA connectivity to the four LFF bays. Two 3.5-inch drive trays ship with the installed 4 TB SAS drives, so no additional caddies are required for the factory configuration. RAID levels are configured through the controller BIOS or HPE Smart Storage Administrator. No operating system is included, allowing installation of any supported hypervisor or OS.
