Redundant power and flexible drive bays

Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies keep the system running if one unit fails. Four large-form-factor 3.5-inch bays hold the included 1 TB SAS drives, while the Smart HBA H240ar controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA links. Twenty-four DIMM slots allow memory to grow with the workload.

Upgrade from single-socket or smaller chassis

Moving from a single-processor tower or a half-depth rack box adds a second CPU, doubling thread count to 48 with hyper-threading and raising the memory ceiling to 3 TB.
