It ships with two Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processors running at 2.4 GHz and 8 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. The platform suits virtualization hosts, database nodes and general compute workloads that demand density.

Redundant power and LFF drive bays

Dual 500 W hot-swap power supplies provide redundancy without shutting down for maintenance. Four large-form-factor 3.5-inch bays hold the two included 300 GB 15 K SAS drives and leave two bays open for expansion. The Smart HBA H240ar controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 across 12 Gb SAS and 6 Gb SATA links.

Memory ceiling and processor limits

The installed 8 GB uses only a fraction of the 24 DIMM slots, yet the processor memory controller caps total capacity at 8 GB with these CPUs. Builders who need more memory must change the processor configuration. The Matrox G200 graphics core provides basic console output only and does not support compute acceleration.
