B140i Software RAID controller limits storage

The onboard B140i controller provides RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 exclusively for SATA devices. It does not support SAS or other drive protocols for hardware RAID. The two included 1TB 7.2K 6Gbps 2.5-inch enterprise SATA drives connect directly to this controller. Any storage expansion must use SATA drives compatible with the B140i RAID levels.
