This server suits administrators who need high core density in a single rack unit for virtualisation, database, or general compute tasks. The 24 DIMM slots allow memory expansion up to the processor limit. Buyers who require dedicated GPU acceleration, more than four 3.5-inch drive bays, or a tower chassis should look at something else. The integrated Matrox G200 provides only basic video output for management.
