Dense 1U rack server

The HP ProLiant DL360 Gen9 is a 1U rack server fitted with a single Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 six-core processor running at 2.4GHz and 96GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. It targets organisations that need dense compute in a shallow chassis for virtualisation, database or general-purpose workloads. The system ships without an operating system.

Software RAID and empty bays

The onboard B140i controller provides software RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 for SATA drives only. Eight 2.5-inch SFF bays are available, and two drive trays with screws are included, but no drives are installed. The Matrox G200 graphics core with 16MB video memory handles basic console output.

Power and memory ceiling

Dual 500W hot-swap redundant power supplies are fitted, so the rack must supply matching IEC leads and PDU capacity. Memory is currently at the 96GB installed limit for this configuration; the board offers 24 DIMM slots in total, 12 per processor, allowing expansion up to 3TB when a second CPU is added.
