The HP ProLiant DL380 G9 is a 2U rack server equipped with two eight-core Intel Xeon E5-2630v3 processors running at 2.4 GHz. It targets organisations that need dense compute for virtualisation, database or general-purpose workloads in a standard rack footprint. The platform supports up to two processors and includes 24 DIMM slots for memory expansion.

32 GB DDR4 with 24-slot headroom

The system ships with 32 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory installed across the 24 available slots, 12 per processor. Memory speed operates up to 2400 MT/s depending on the processor capability. Maximum supported capacity reaches 3 TB, so the current configuration leaves substantial headroom for growth. Storage is provided by two 146 GB 15K SAS drives managed by a Smart Array P440 controller with 4 GB flash-backed write cache supporting RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60.

24 SFF bays and redundant 500 W power

The chassis provides 24 small form factor 2.5-inch drive bays with an option to add a further two-bay cage at the rear. Dual hot-swap 500 W power supplies deliver redundancy without occupying additional rack units. Graphics output is handled by an integrated Matrox G200eH2 controller. No operating system is included, allowing the buyer to deploy their preferred hypervisor or OS.
