Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 ECC registered memory occupy two of the twenty-four DIMM slots. The Smart HBA H240ar controller provides twelve-gigabit SAS and six-gigabit SATA connectivity with RAID levels up to sixty. Dual five-hundred-watt hot-swap supplies deliver redundant power. No operating system is included.

Steady throughput under load

The single processor caps compute at six cores without turbo, so sustained multi-threaded workloads run at the base 1.9 GHz clock. Memory bandwidth scales with the installed DDR4 modules up to twenty-four-hundred MT/s, limited by the processor memory controller. The H240ar HBA maintains consistent twelve-gigabit SAS or six-gigabit SATA throughput to attached drives. With a second processor socket empty, total core count can double to twelve when a matching Xeon is added later.

Thermal and acoustic profile

Redundant power supplies share the load, reducing per-unit stress and fan speed during normal operation. The 2U form factor allows front-to-rear airflow across the drive cage and memory risers. Matrox G200eH2 graphics with sixteen megabytes of video memory add negligible heat. Fan curves respond to inlet temperature and component sensors, keeping acoustics typical for a data-centre rack server under standard ambient conditions.
