Capacity and headroom

The server ships with 4GB of DDR4 memory and a single six-core Xeon E5-2609 v3 at 1.9GHz. Twenty-four DIMM slots allow expansion up to 3TB of registered ECC memory when a second processor is added. Two 600GB 15K SAS drives provide fast primary storage, while eight 2.5-inch bays leave room for additional drives. The H240ar controller supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 for flexible data protection.

Build and daily operation

Redundant 500W hot-swap power supplies keep the system running during a module change. The 2U rack form factor fits standard cabinets, and the small-form-factor drive bays accept 2.5-inch SAS or SATA devices. A Matrox G200eH2 chip handles basic video output for console management. No operating system is included, so the buyer installs their preferred hypervisor or OS.
