ProLiant DL380 Gen9 2U rack server

The HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 is a 2U rack server built for data-centre workloads that need redundant power and internal storage expansion. It ships with a single Intel Xeon E5-2609 v3 six-core processor running at 1.9 GHz and 4 GB of DDR4 ECC registered memory. B140i software RAID SATA-only limits

The onboard B140i controller manages RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 across SATA drives only; it does not support SAS or NVME devices. Eight 2.5-inch SFF bays are populated with the two included drives, leaving six bays free for additional SATA HDDs or SSDs. Optional universal media bay, NVME drive options, or extra SFF cages can occupy bay 2 and bay 3, but the B140i itself remains restricted to SATA RAID functionality.

Single Xeon E5-2609 v3 6-core CPU

This unit includes one E5-2609 v3 processor with six cores at 1.9 GHz; the socket count allows a second identical CPU to reach 12 cores total. Memory runs at up to 2400 MT/s depending on the installed processor, and the 24 DIMM slots support up to 3 TB when both sockets are filled. Buyers who need higher core counts, faster clock speeds, or larger initial memory must add a second processor and additional DDR4 modules.
