The Intel Xeon Platinum 8471N is a 52-core server CPU built for single-socket platforms using the LGA 4677 socket. It delivers 104 threads at a base frequency of 1.8 GHz with a maximum turbo frequency of 3.6 GHz. The 10 nm Sapphire Rapids architecture provides 97.5 MB of L3 cache for demanding data-centre workloads.

Processor-only packaging

The unit ships without a cooling device, so a compatible 300 W thermal solution must be sourced separately. No bundled software or accessories are included, leaving the integrator to provide memory, storage and system firmware independently. Virtualization technology support is enabled in the silicon for hypervisor deployments.

Eight-channel DDR5 memory and 80 PCIe 5.0 lanes

The integrated memory controller supports up to 4 TB of DDR5 across eight channels at up to 4800 MT/s with one DIMM per channel or 4400 MT/s with two DIMMs per channel. Eighty PCI Express 5.0 lanes provide high-bandwidth I/O for accelerators and storage. The 1S-only scalability limits this processor to single-socket configurations.
