The iStorage diskAshur DT2 is an 8TB desktop hard drive that unlocks with a 7-15 digit PIN entered on its built-in keypad. It uses real-time AES-XTS 256-bit hardware encryption validated to FIPS PUB 197 and is certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 3. The drive works on any device with a USB port and requires no software installation.

USB 3.2 interface limits

The drive connects via USB 3.2 and is backward compatible with USB 3.1 and earlier versions. Maximum sequential read speed reaches 277MB/s and write speed reaches 271MB/s. Actual throughput depends on the host controller and cable quality. Systems limited to USB 2.0 will see substantially lower transfer rates.

FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification
