The LORDWORLD 2-DOF Pan-Tilt HAT adds motorised camera movement and ambient-light sensing to any Raspberry Pi series board or Jetson Nano through the standard 40PIN GPIO header. It is intended for makers building robots, surveillance rigs or interactive projects that need precise directional control.

Onboard chips and acrylic mount

A PCA9685 PWM driver delivers 12-bit resolution signals to the two servos, while a TSL2581FN light-to-digital converter with embedded ADC returns readings that approximate human eye response. An included acrylic board secures the Raspberry Pi camera module, turning the bare PCB into a ready-to-mount pan-tilt unit.

Wiring simplicity and common pitfalls

Only two I2C pins are required for both motion and light data, and an onboard voltage level translator handles 3.3 V and 5 V logic automatically. Builders must still supply external servo power and ensure the camera ribbon cable is routed without strain; forgetting the separate servo supply is the most frequent cause of erratic movement.
