Single-port 1000BASE-LX fiber adapter

The LR-LINK LREC6230PF-LX is a PCIe x1 Gigabit Ethernet card built on the Intel I210 controller. It provides one SC connector for single-mode fibre, suited to desktop or server systems that need a dedicated 1000 Mbps optical link. Low-profile and full-height brackets are included for flexible mounting.

Upgrade from copper or 100 Mbps fibre

This card replaces a copper Gigabit NIC or an older 100 Mbps fibre adapter such as the 82574-based 9030 series. The jump is worthwhile when electromagnetic immunity, lightning protection or a 30-year fibre lifespan are required, and when the PCIe 2.1 x1 slot can supply 2.5 GT/s bandwidth.

Handles secure long-haul links; limited to one port

The adapter comfortably serves FTTD deployments, medical equipment and high-security environments operating between 0 °C and 55 °C with up to 90 % humidity. It runs out of headroom when a second fibre port or multi-mode connectivity is needed, as the design is single-port single-mode only.
