The Minuteman Endeavor ED8KRT-8KTF2 is a double-conversion UPS rated at 8,000 VA and 6,840 W. It accepts a hardwired input between 180 and 280 VAC at 40 to 70 Hz and delivers selectable output at 208, 220, 230 or 240 VAC. Five outlet groups include L6-30R, L6-20R, L5-30R, 5-15/20R and terminal blocks for both 208-240 VAC and 120 VAC loads. The unit suits server rooms and network closets that need continuous, conditioned power.

Battery Runtime and Hardwired Installation Limits

At full load the internal batteries provide three minutes of runtime; at half load they provide eleven minutes. Extended runtime requires additional battery modules connected to the independent chargers. The UPS must be hardwired on the input side, so it cannot be plugged into a standard receptacle. Operating temperature range is 32 to 104 °F with humidity up to 95 % non-condensing. Surge protection is rated at 3,140 joules.

Front-Panel Battery Access and DB-9 Monitoring

Batteries are hot-swappable and replaced through the front panel without tools, using the BM0098 kit. A multi-colour touchscreen LCD gives immediate status and configuration access. Remote monitoring uses a DB-9 serial port; no network card is included. The chassis measures 15.36 by 17.24 by 28.74 inches and weighs 380.19 lbs, so two-person handling or a lift is necessary for rack mounting.
